How to connect your Roku streaming device to an A/V receiver?

There are many AV receiver has used to connect the Roku link account in your streaming device .In this article we will tell you the most commonly used three AV receiver on Roku.

Roku player with standard definition TV:
 Connection:
  • You have to connect the 3.5 mm black color AV receiver at the end of the back side of the Roku player.
  •   Now you have to composite the end of the corresponding color of red, white, yellow connectors on your Roku TV.
Roku settings:
Stereo only:
  •  The Roku players provide the default stereo signal through both composite or HDMI.
  •  In the Roku link account settings you have to set Audio mode to “AUTO”.





Roku player with a high definition TV:
Connection:
  •  You have to connect the one end of the HDMI cable to the back of the Roku player.
  •   Now next end to be connected an available HDMI (HDMI cable is not included) connector on your Roku TV.

Roku settings:
  • In Roku settings choose stereo and surround sound.
  • For stereo, Go to the Roku settings and set the audio mode to be “stereo”.
  • For Surround sound, Go to Roku settings and set audio mode to be "Auto".
  • In Roku player will be detect the capability to connect the device and to determine the optimal surround settings.
  • Go to settings and set audio mode to be changed “surround sound” on your Roku classic models.




  Roku player with an HDMI AVR and HDTV:
Connection:
  • You have to connect the one end of your HDMI cable to the back of the Roku player.
  • Now connect another end to an available HDMI input on your AVR.
  • To connect the HDMI output to the AVR to an available HDMI input on your Roku TV.

Roku setting:
  • In Roku settings stereo and surround sound.
  • For stereo, Go to the Roku settings and set the audio mode to be “stereo”.
  • For Surround sound, Go to Roku settings and set audio mode to be "Auto".
  • In Roku player will be detect the capability to connect the device and to determine the optimal surround settings.
  • Go to settings and set audio mode to be changed “surround sound” on your Roku classic models.
  • This is (DD+) requires an AVR capable of decoding DD+ signal.
